    Follow this quick tour to get acquainted with the Mat Builder. This design tool is to make it easy for you to modify any design you see on our site by clicking directly from that page. You can save designs in progress in your account to finish later. Once you've finalized your design, the Mat Builder will drop it into a shopping cart for easy purchase. Note, all mats created via Mat Builder are generally custom orders that will take 1 to 2 weeks to ship out, as we have to custom-cut the designs.

    This is your design in progress. You can click and drag tiles around, add tiles, etc. Color bars will appear over blank tiles and die-cut shapes so you can easily change the colors of tiles, die-cut shapes, and borders.

    This is the main navigation for changing features about the mats, adding die-cuts, alphabet letters, etc. Click on an item to show more options.

  4. Price

    The price of your mat will update as you make changes to your design. Die-cut mats are created by cutting solid color 2x2 tiles, so you will receive both the die-cut shape and the background in that color. “Unused tiles” reflects the value of those die-cuts and background pieces that are not yet utilized in your design. To get the best value, efficiently utilize all of your die-cut elements, meaning get the "unused tile" value to zero.

  1. Your First Unused Tile

    This is the reverse of the tile that you just created. All die-cut designs are cut from solid 2x2 mats, so you receive the background and die-cut in that solid color. You need to order a minimum of 2 colors of any die-cut shape. Mat Builder follows along if you want more than a 2 color switch in a single shape. This bin keeps track of your unused tile elements, as it’s likely you’ll want to use up all of those pieces in your finalized mat design to get the best value.
